| Twitter Finally Launch Suggested Users |

| Why This Is Important To You! |
January 2009 will be remembered by some, the day that Twitter Launched Their "Suggested Users™ feature. This simple little feature has had such an impact to those who have been fortunate to be added. The changes that Twitter made literally put a lot of smiles on the faces of those on the red carpet list. Some profiles were said to have had tens of thousands of new followers added to their own personal profiles.
Last month the co-founders of Twitter, Evan Williams and Biz Stone launched their "Suggested Users" feature. This is how it works. We a new users signs up for a twitter account, they are presented with a list of users that they should follow, hence the name "Suggested Users". One of the main reasons for Twitter to launch this new feature, was to try and encourage new users to to interacting with the twitter community. Previously, many new users would signup for a Twitter account only to leave their profile blank, and eventually stop using the Twitter service altogether.
Biz Stone has said "it is not the end of this type of idea but just the beginning". This is great for Twitters users as it shows that the teams are dedicated to making twitter as user friendly as possible. Biz would love to see the "Suggested Users" develop into a much smarter feature in the future.
It is well worth your time trying to climb on to the red carpet list, however with name such as; Felicia Day, The Guardian, Rainn Wilson, Dell, The New York Times and CNN all ready occupying the space, we'll just have to wait and see how challenging this will be.
